In 2017, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development published “Ending school failure: ten measures for a fair education”. This book, which consists of an in-depth comparative analysis of national equity approaches, goes especially to head teachers, parents, teachers, and, decision-makers. Through this analysis, it is observed that three factors play an essential role in equity school: educational systems’ conception, classes practices and, resources provision. Equity includes two dimensions:
– Equal opportunities: personal and social situation should not be an obstacle to the realisation of an educational project;
– Inclusion: minimal level for everybody.
Because migration is a growing phenomenon, social cohesion and inclusion became more than anything a real stake. National policies must undertake measures to support inclusion, equal opportunities and it is in that direction that goes this book, real tool.
