Schola Project
In 2010, the European Commission fixed at 10 % the school failure threshold. It appeared that only 6 of the 27 members reached this goal. Youth are particularly touched by unemployment and school failure is the main explanation to social and professional exclusion. In this context, struggle against dropping out of school became a priority and this is the aim of the Erasmus Schola project, which was created in 2016 on Blaise Pascal’ school (Massy, Essonne) and Iriv’s initiative. It gathers France, Belgium, Poland, Slovenia and, Italy. Through a complete training, teachers and academic mediators can get a better knowledge of the reasons leading to dropping out of school, the different strategies to struggle against it and, develop the key competencies of the diverse learning process. The aim here is to set up strategies and mobilize youth through volunteering.
