Created in 2013 at the initiative of IRIV and ASSFAM, the trans-city project, aims to provide women and young people from sensitive neighbourhoods with tools and methods to raise awareness of the benefits of community involvement.
The project takes place in 3 stages:
1 – Mobilizing partners like associations working with migrants, departmental or national associations and organizations, territorial authorities.
2 – Information meetings to disseminate results to local communities, city political resource centres, social centres, youth associations, migrant women’s associations.
3 – Three pedagogical sessions proposed by ASSFAM and IRIV in which six themes are discussed.
The pedagogical sessions apply to two different audiences:
– Migrant women who experience three types of discrimination, gender discrimination, discrimination based on origin and discrimination based on place of residence.
– Young people with a migratory background, men or women fewer than 30 who are often in school failure situation and encounter social and economic difficulties.
The topics addressed during the 3 pedagogical sessions are all linked to the associative commitment and its contributions.
