The resources center of the Town’s Policy in Essonne (1), an association which purposes are: information, training, qualification, capitalization and, animation of networks for association’ stakeholders, institutional and professionals in the field of Town’s Policy. From March to May 2018, six different training courses were organized by this association, all about the welcome of newly arrived immigrants. The third one, directed by the trainer and mediator Audrey Dessertine, especially targeted the parenthood support of these latter. Four objectives were set: development and knowledge of social and cultural diversity, new look on intercultural situations, understanding of the diversity of familial diversity and, comparison of the different techniques of supporting migrants’ families. Through this training course, were reviewed the different steps of the childhood, migration family and, particularly the transcultural approach regarding the support to parenthood. In order to achieve those goals, different pedagogical methods are used such as theoretical contribution (analyze of ethnographic movies, press articles), work on the representations and experiences of the participant and finally, case study and analyze brought by the trainer. This training was attended by professionals and volunteers in charge of the welcome of newly arrived immigrants.
